He brought a flower on the first date
It made her forget that he was late.
He brought a flower on Valentine's Day
It cheered her heart from her dismay.
He brought a flower the night he told her he was in love
The feelings wrapped tightly around her like a glove.
He wore a flower the day they wed
It was the day her heart and soul were fed.
The flowers she gets on each anniversary
are constant reminders of their love story.
Even to this day, every time they meet
He offers a flower and her heart skips a beat.
