Empty Words Fall on Deafened Ears
I still try to remember the way I felt, reality came to life. The muttering of your lost words, our relationship coming to an end.
Betrayal of the heart, broken, shattered, and confused. Your words echo in my mind, as the memories fade in and out
.Your empty words, fall on deafened ears, shattered, torn, shredded.Trying to sort fact from fiction, reality from dreams.
No time to retrace the steps, or take back the words you've spoken. The damage is done. My heart is torn from the misguided, misused, confusing words.
Feeling no sympathy, or remorse, I walk away. I don't look back. I spend my days and nights guarded, from words with no meaning. Empty words spoken, take a toll on the heart.
