If you are looking for jobs dubbed “No Experience Necessary” your new best friend is called “entry level job.” By definition, an entry level job requires no experience. When you enter any new field it is best to master the jargon. Many employers who are looking for people they can train say they are looking for entry level employees.
To be thorough, let's start our “no experience necessary” jobs search by going to a big; well known job search site and search on the phrase “no experience necessary”. As expected, many of the first jobs that pop up are manager and salesmen jobs. What is great about these career fields is: they are ubiquitous. In Hawaii, Nebraska, Alaska, New York, and Texas, people buy stuff and people need for someone to tell them what to do and to hold them accountable. In theory, if you are good at selling or telling (management), you can get a job anywhere. In fact, you could actually use your skills as a sort of paid vacation. The secret is to look for states that have a lower standard of living than yours. Find a job in that state that pays more than the job you are working now and magically you can take a “vacation” that almost pays for itself. For people who want to see the country and figure out what places they like best this can be an excellent way to do it. One problem with this strategy is you can wind up living in Kentucky or Mississippi. Not the nicest places to live. Another secret of this strategy in the high tech IT world is only take jobs that will teach you new skills. In sales or management that trick might be to only take jobs wherein you gain more authority or sell higher ticket items. Find a way to move up as you move out. Let your employer pay for your education and your upward mobility. Find jobs that have a training budget and which compensate employees for learning new skills. Look around when they show you their office on job interview day. Do the employees display recent certifications and diplomas? Then such a job, even if it paid a little less just might be for you. Learn a new skill on your employer's dime and use that skill to get an even better job!
Meanwhile back at the job search page the “no experience jobs”, nationwide, number around 4,000. Let's compare that number to the number or entry level positions. That query yields in excess of 5000 jobs. At least 40 pages of them. When Monster search engine says there are in excess of 5,000 jobs there might be 10,000 of them. Who knows? Again sales jobs dominate the list and there are some management jobs here too.
The term “junior” yields almost 4,000 jobs. The kinds of junior jobs available are all over the map. Plenty of them are management jobs.
As expected, “assistant” gives 5000+ jobs. Over 40 pages of jobs. Mostly as an assistant manager. If you can stand to tell people what to do for a living you really should go into management. You will never be unemployed for long; as long as you are flexible enough to take ANY management job.
