Be thankful
For every day
For every person
In their own special way
Be thankful for blue skies
For warm sunlight
Snowy mountains
And summer nights
Be thankful for all the people you have met
For all the fun you have had
Every smile you receive
Every minute, good or bad
I am thankful
For meeting you
For three days
Just we two
Thankful for your touch
For the many talks
The sweet summer air
Barefoot walks
Thankful for the sand
Wriggling between our toes
How thankful I really am?
God is the only one who knows

Poetry: What I'm thankful for
I need no life-changing fortune
To be grateful for what I have
No need to pursue happiness
When for my simple life I am
For wind and rain and green growing things,
Let us be thankful.
For gladdening sun and bright blue sky,
Let us be thankful.

Be thankful
For every day
For every person
In their own special way
Be thankful for blue skies
For warm sunlight
by Terrence Aym
The sun has risen once again.
The touch of your soft, warm hand,
The blossoming garden outside our door,
What I'm thankful
My humble thanks I give to Thee
For a life of relative peace and harmony
While some starve and suffer horrors untold
I feast
