Having worked hard over recent weeks, I decided to stock up on some lotions and potions and treat myself to a little 'me' time. Amongst my newfound goodies is a bottle of Soap and Glory's Calm One Calm All bubble bath which is now destined to be a firm staple in my bathroom cabinet.
The bottle is a very generous 500ml size which, frankly, I'd expect for the £5 price tag. It's predominantly baby pink with a retro black and white image of a lady relaxing in the bath and the relevant information that had me sold. It boasts a deluxe formula with body lotion built in which was a welcome promise to my dry and stressed skin. The ingredients include lemon balm, mallow extracts and moisture-magnetising skin conditioners to smooth you while they sooth you.
So I set about running a nice hot bath and was instantly impressed by the sheer volume of fluffy white bubbles that was produced from just a couple of capfuls of Calm One Calm All. As I lay back, I did feel instantly soothed and relaxed. Perhaps it was a result of the soft candle light or the relaxing music but I do believe this bubble bath had a role to play. The water felt soft and creamy against my skin, the bubbles created a pillow beneath my neck as I laid back and the gentle fruity aroma enabled me to think about nothing for a few minutes as I soaked.
As the water started to get colder, I topped the bath up from the hot tap and more bubbles were instantly created. Whilst my skin felt clean, I did supplement the bubble bath with some Clean on Me and the scents of both products perfectly complimented one another.
When I finally mustered the energy to climb out and dry myself off I was once again impressed by the softness of my skin. Whilst Calm One Calm All can't mimic the results of an intensive body butter, it has left my skin soft and moisturised and I'm feeling calmer and more relaxed. There's a slight fruity aroma left on my skin which is strong enough to provide a noticeable scent but subtle enough not to interfere with any perfume I might chose to wear following a bath.
That said, I won't be dousing myself in perfume this evening. Instead, I've climbed straight into my pyjamas and I'm off to bed to read a book and hopefully catch up on some lost sleep.
