FREEDOM
When the world is mired in strife
I cannot complain about my own life.
I awake to freedom, sunshine, and love;
Most certainly blessings from above.
I can smell the flowers, see the new day
Run through the daisies, laugh and play.
I can hear the sweet sound of birds singing to me
Chirping happily up in the tree.
I sleep in a bed, in a house, in my home
I have a family; I am not alone.
I have food on my table
Work, I am able.
I have a little, not a lot, some to share
I must do unto others; show them I care.
I am strong; I am fit; I am healthy and well
With all of this I have only good news to tell.
When the world is mired in strife
I am blessed with freedom; a privileged life.

Poetry: My freedom

Freedom, I thought I'd find,

I smoke a very few cigarettes a day
I think my lungs will be ok
That society thing, the new PC, I just don’t go that
by Salome Heil
Why? Oh why this injustice?
Conspiracy of unadulterated hate
This uniform of society doing
Is my parent’s fault
The dull
