THE TIPS IN THIS ARTICLE WILL SAVE YOU TIME & MONEY
There are everyday business dealings that you need to take care of that will either put you on top of things or leave you behind and feeling like a victim. There are some basic items that you will want to keep in your purse so that you can keep the upper hand on these everyday ventures. Of course, you will want to start with the basic necessities: like your cell phone, lip balm, glasses, and keys and then next you will want to collect this set of organizational wonders:
A WALLET
Obviously, you will need a wallet, however . . . what features are important? The type of wallet you should choose is one that has at an ample place for dollar bills, a slot for essential items, a hidden place for money, and at least two organizational places for cards. If it comes with a coin purse this is good also, otherwise you can buy a matching coin purse or two (one for laundry quarters if needed). Some tips for what to keep in your wallet’s organizational spots include:
*Ample place for dollar bills: so you won’t be frustrated in getting at your money.
*Essential items slot: your driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate, and stamps. Some transactions require a social security card and birth certificate; you don’t want to waste time hunting for them to complete these errands. Same for stamps, when you need to send something snail mail; keep stamps handy to get the job done.
*Hidden money slot: can keep your budgeted mad-money or gift money for a special occasion, etc.
* Two organizational places for cards: one for high use cards. You can staple the plastic card holder from your old wallet into your new one for extra card space.
CHECKBOOKS
Use these for your online/phone bill paying and/or purchases as opposed to debit/credit cards. Filling these out as you make your transactions will give you a dated ledger. Include the confirmation number on the check; this eliminates the hassle or inconvenience of having to print it out. Also, even if you occasionally use your debit/credit card for these transactions, use your checkbook ledger anyway and just make a note of what card was used.
Additionally, keep your husband’s checkbook in your purse for those occasions when he needs it and asks, “Do you have my checkbook with you. ” and his debit card also for when he needs a little bit of money put into his account or vice versa. These measures will stop a lot of annoying trips
