There is no place like Los Angeles, it stands in a league of its own and rightly so. I grew up in the south of England, the cold the wet and the dull days where far too many for me to continue living with and so I packed my bags and moved to California. A main reason why I love Los Angeles so much is simply because it's the opposite of where I once grew up.

I moved to Los Angeles California in May of 2004, it had been a dream for me since I was just young boy, all the movies I came to admire growing up must have given me this wanting to see the land where movies are made. And so adult hood soon came upon and me and my own decision making was finally mine, and with it, came my move to the sunny state of California, USA.

4 years passed and l was still living in LA, why I stayed away for so long from my home in the south of England was simply because Los Angeles often referred to my myself and others as LA LA Land had consumed me and with it a deep love for this city grew. There are simply so many things I could write describing the love I have for Los Angeles, probably surpassing the writing limit for this article, so I will write down and tell you the best things.

The weather being one of the single most important parts of why I love LA. I never knew what it was like to experience the sun each day and that warm feeling of warm air while you drove with your window down. In England I would, if lucky, experience this for maybe two weeks of the year, but California you are looking at around 42 weeks a year of sun, a vast difference and a massive reason why I love it so much. The weather is brilliant. It is not constantly hot so you get time to breathe and cool down on occasion, which is why I find it a great place to live. The days are hot, blue skies, occasional breezes, the nights can tend to take on a cold touch for some months of the year, usually in the months from December to February, but it’s nice and refreshing when this does happen. I found that warm weather means happier people, and when one is surrounded by happier people, life is just so much better.

The beaches became my getaway from the hectic city life of LA, and with gorgeous blue sky’s and warm sun, sandy shores and almost 25 top beaches to choose from up and down the coast, you cant go wrong. California for me hosts an array of some of the best beaches in the world. On my days of I would pack a surf board, some towels, food and drink,
