The Void
There exists in the heart of every one,
An empty void- dark and cold as stone;
A great vague feeling of incompleteness,
Of being somehow adrift and alone.
Some are not aware that it is even there,
So busy are they living their own lives,
Then suddenly one day it overcomes them,
And to fill it one diligently seeks and strives.
Others try all their life to overcome this void,
With pleasures, trinkets, fame, and gold,
Relying on human "love" and friendships,
Which are all too fleeting for a lasting hold.
Even deep love for one's life-long spouse,
Will not completely overcome that feeling of loss,
Which was left in Man when sin entered the world,
(And for us Christ had to be put to the cross).
Only His agapé love can fill a hole of this kind,
For it is in the shape of Jesus Christ our Lord,
This void which was left when sin separated us from God,
Must be filled at the fount of His Holy Word.
Christ's love and friendship validates all others,
If one takes Him into their hollow heart,
The void is then filled, one is complete at last,
For then you will have found the missing part.

You are the ghost carnivore
