Who am I and who are we all?
Truly, I believe that before becoming an embryo in our mother's womb we are a semen in our father's bosom. This is on a human level. Before the egg in our mother's womb hatch, it takes the strength of the the sperm to fly at a very high speed to even break the egg.
We may all say that this is nature, yes, it is nature, but we also all know that with the advancement of science there are many things we do not grasp. With the IVf treatment we have come a long way. Research on the stem cells field or using human embryonic stem cells and animal-human embryos offering new treatments for various diseases such as diabetes, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's has brought us even further up. We believe that we can achieve much more, but we are not able to produce a hundred percent success in all these experiments.
This brings me back to the fact that there is a greater intelligence that controls every bit of the natural environment. Though men may intervene in the function of the natural systems, we all know that, that same natural system does not originate from men. We are also aware that all the ecological units such as the atmosphere, vegetation, animals, micro-organisms, rocks, and physical phenomena such water, air, energy, radiation and climate etc, had in the first place no human input.
Going back to our father and mother, let us assume that the egg has hatched. At the first formation of a foetus, the first thing the test will look for is the heartbeat. Then it will grow and will be born, next expectation is the cry. If the baby do not cry, it's given a slap on the bottom to make it scream and be sure that it's alive.
Many theories in the Christian realm has said that it's at the scream that the soul is given the body. Otherwise it will be a still born. the scream is the approval of our maker that we can go ahead and live in this earthly vessel.
If one would want to restrict the human life to the body alone, they will have to contend with those who have lost their limbs, or had vital organs replaced by supporting machines. many wars veterans are living proof of the body being only a carrier of the soul.
Personally, I believe in life before and after death. As a Christian, I always refer to the Bible to find an explanation on the subject of life.
In the book of Genesis, God made men by putting together some clay and only after breathing in them they become a living soul. That is what I believe happens every time that someone is born on earth. I am
