Do you ever feel like things aren't going your way?
Like you're having the worst day of your life, day after day?
Do you cry yourself asleep, because you find yourself alone?
Like your heart's been broken so many times that it's turned into stone?
Do you feel like fate is making a fool out of you?
You had your chance, it was all lined up, but it fell through?
You gave yourself completely but it wasn't enough,
And now everyone just tells you to suck it up and be tough.
When you look back at what you had,
Do you just feel sad?
Yes, maybe it was a little rushed,
But it was still enough to leave you crushed.
You're not the only one to feel this way,
It was sure fun while it lasted but now it's done.
I've also put my whole life into something I believed in,
And will I spend the rest of my life wondering what might have been?
So how can you move on? How can you forget?
I wish I knew, but I don't know yet.
