Usually I buy Sainsbury’s own brand cotton buds in refill bag but last time the only one available in our local shop was Johnson’s cotton buds for 0.98 pounds. There are 100 buds in a cardboard holder and it has a removable transparent plastic cap. I prefer to buy the refill pack because I have a very nice glass holder for them which has glass paint decoration on it. It was my first glass paint work and that is why I love it so much.

Anyway Johnson’s cotton buds are in a very practical cardboard holder which is light blue and strong enough to hold them well. The cotton buds are white as always but they are put on a blue plastic stick. Well not the colour of the plastic is what matters but how strong it is. I bought once a pack of buds which were on sticks like a straw. It looked the same as usual ones but when I started using them I found that they were so weak that I couldn’t clean my ears.

These cotton buds are very clear in the box. I don’t know whether they are sterile or not but it is good to keep them clear not to bring any dirt into your ears. These cotton buds are for adults there is a safety one for children. For some reason they don’t really like when we clear their ears. Lol Anyway the Johnson’s cotton buds are really good quality you can always trust and its price is not so horrible. I think I will choose this brand in the future because unfortunately I can’t recall the brand name of that poor quality buds. I don’t have money to spend on such stuff that goes immediately in the bin.

Well we use the cotton buds mostly to clean our ears but there are lots of other purposes you can use them for. I use cotton buds to correct my makeup when my mascara leaves spots on my lids or I make a too thick line below my eyes I can clean a part of it with a cotton bud. They are very handy when you polish your nails and by accident you put some polish on your skin as well. You can’t use a pad because it is too big but a cotton bud has the perfect size and you can also manage to get some nail varnish remover on it if you need it. You can use it in the household cleaning as well when you have to clean something you can’t reach.

So to sum up, Johnson’s cotton buds are of really good quality. They can be used on other purposes than cleaning your ears. I like that they stay in one piece and the stick is strong enough to clean your ears. The cardboard holder is strong enough too and is re closable. Highly recommended.
