Poetry: Let me be the one

IN A PARALLEL WORLD

In a parallel world with stars in the skies

We're all alone looking into each others eyes

But in the world we live where the sun never shines

And an ache in our hearts trying hard to survive

I think of you, In a parallel world

In a parallel world we laugh and run with the wind

Living each day as if there were no end

But in the world we live too many miles away

I see your face at the end of every day

While I'm sleeping, In a parallel world

In a parallel world there are no more tears

With you by my side you banish my fears

But in the world we live with an ache in my heart

I pray for you each day we're apart

For God to keep you safe, In a parallel world

In a parallel world where rainbows abound

Knowing that your smiling face is around

But in the world we live it's just a memory

As I have no right to want you here with me

I live my life, In a parallel world
