One of the more thoughtful and romantic ways to say “I love you” to your spouse or partner is to leave random notes for them to find at odd moments. It will let them know that you are not taking them for granted. These notes can be simple pieces of paper with the magic three words written on them or they can be more elaborate. You might say thank you for something special they did for you or write down a romantic thought or sentiment. You could illustrate your note with drawings or stickers. The idea is to surprise them, so leave your notes in different places at different times.
If your spouse packs a lunch, leave a note in their lunchbox. Although this is not very original it is sure to make their workday just a little bit brighter.
Your spouse’s sock drawer is the perfect place to suggest something naughty. You can pin the note to a piece of your sexy underwear. This is guaranteed to make them think of you all day.
Tape a note to the bathroom mirror. You can do this so they will find it in the morning when they get ready for work, or you can slip it in during the evening and let them find it before bedtime.
If your spouse carries a briefcase, place a note in his papers. Make sure that this will not cause embarrassment. Between the pages of a report due to their boss’s desk is not the best place.
Leave a note on top of their pillow. This is guaranteed to cause sweet dreams of you.
Tape a note to the TV. Caution: this may lead to snuggling.
If your spouse reads books or magazines, hide a note between the pages of the publication he is currently reading. It may take them a while to find it, but has great surprise value, especially the first time you do it.
If your spouse travels on business, leave a note in their suitcase. This will very likely get you a phone call.
Prepare a surprise treat and leave it in the refrigerator with a note on top. If you’re lucky they will share the treat with you.
Tuck notes into their shoes. It is fun to watch them try to figure out why their shoes are suddenly so uncomfortable.
Leave a note on their bedside table, or taped to the top of their alarm clock, while they are sleeping. That way, their first thought in the morning will be of you.
Tape a note to the side of their computer screen. With any luck it will distract them enough to spend their evening with you.
Hide the TV remote control under a note. Maybe they will tune in to your favorite show.
Tape a note to the inside of the front door for them to find when they leave for work. Add a lipstick kiss to the note if you leave before them.
Tape a note to the steering wheel of their car. Hopefully this will cause them to drive carefully for the rest of the day.
Tuck a note into their cell phone case. You can call or text them to make sure they find it.
Hide a note inside their favorite newspaper section. This is especially fun to do if you read the paper together. It has been known to lead to kissing.
There are many more places for love notes. Take a look around your home and you will find some of your own.
