There is a huge misconception about making money writing online.The misconception is that it is an easy way to make money online. The truth is anyone can write on line but not everyone will make a significant amount of money doing it.

Writing online can be done in a variety of ways.You can write for a site where your work will be published immediately and you will earn money through page views. Another option is to work for a site that you can accept titles and write a certain number of words for which you will be paid a small fee. Another way to make money writing on line is to start a blog that can earn you money through the ads that are placed on it.

There are other sites that you can join where you choose an assignment, write an article and compete with other writers for it to be published. If chosen you can earn a decent amount of money. Most writers who write online have spent time researching keywords and search engine optimization in order to write articles that will rank higher in search engines. The more your work is seen, the more money you will earn.

You can find very talented writers online and you can also find very bad writers online. It is amazing how some people can call themselves writers when they do not spell correctly. If you are someone who has done professional writing and would like to give writing on line a shot, do not be discouraged by the amount of bad writing on the Internet. It should only encourage you that your talent will be recognized.

If you are just looking to make money fast, writing on line is not for you. It is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. Those people who study what makes an article rank higher on search engines and fill their work with carefully placed keywords are writing for money. Many times their content is garbage and not informative. If you are passionate about writing, you should write for that reason and not for the money.

In other words, remember the starving artist? I believe he shares a room with the starving writer. Writers who write because they "need" to fulfill a creative urge are not expecting to become rich from it. It would be nice to be able to pursue what you love and not worry about paying your bills but art is not always like that.Writing online can be fun, you can meet other writers with similar interests and goals but if your only goal is to get rich, I do not believe it will happen writing online.

You can supplement your income, which is always a good thing but depending on it as your only means of support could be disappointing.
