I hope you understand the transitory nature
Of this relationship.
This complicated friendship,
That lacks the number of attached strings
Needed to weave the tapestry known as a life together.
Some day in the not so distant future,
I will be leaving by the back door.
Train station, bus station, or midnight flight,
Making a B line for the state line.
No sense in crying, because you were warned.
This is just a temporary situation,
A little sex, and conversation.
A cuddle to keep the cold at bay,
Two breasts to cradle a weary head.
A body to keep company with on lonely nights.
I only feel inclined to mention this again,
Because I seem to be sensing an erroneous attachment.
I am accused of playing games,
So let us play game shows instead.
The category is: Inappropriate emotions for $1,000
Clue is: The reason you were accused of felonious feeling
Please remember to phrase your answer in the form of a question
Umm, What is the unwanted interjection of love into a lustful situation Alex?
Our relationship was always in Jeopardy.
You knew the rules from the very first day.
We agreed to play with bodies,
Not hearts, not lives
One day soon I will vanish.
Like an autumn carnival in a cornfield.
That leaves no sign of it’s passing,
By the time spring crops are planted.
So I hope you understand the transitory nature
Of this relationship.
This complicated friendship.
This ephemeral existence that we share,
But not for much longer.

Poetry: Good-bye
by Jon Coe
Bring me my slippers and bring me my pipe
I'm off to retirement, had enough of the hype
Turn on the television and pour
by Sierra White
I cannot say,
It won't come out,
I wish it were far away,
But the time has come,
For us to part,
And I'll just sob and
The time is here to leave this place, never to return.
Everyone, they make mistakes, and this is how they learn.
The struggles
Petals wade through air
Something more permanent remains:
Leaves
But everlasting are the roots
That we grew here
Together.
Don’t
It wasn't working for you but I was content
It wasn't good enough, so away I went
You lied about us and the way I made you
