There is nothing like a new pair of jeans to make you feel good. The only problem is that when you wash your new jeans, you run the risk of them bleeding all over your other clothes. This also means that the color of the jeans is fading. Since you don't want that to happen, you need to know how to keep new jeans from bleeding.
Here are some tips to keep your new jeans from bleeding:
No Hot Water
Wash your new jeans in cold water. Using hot or warm water guarantees that the new jeans will bleed. This also keeps your jeans from shrinking up more than you want them to. Keep your new jeans looking as new as possible for as long as possible by changing the settings from warm/hot to cold water.
Inside Out
Turn your jeans inside out when washing them. Even if they bleed, they will bleed on themselves which can help the fading problem disappear. You will see a huge difference in how much your jeans bleed when you turn them inside out.
Wash Alone
Even though it might be easier to wash your new jeans with everything else, you should wash them alone the first couple of times. This will keep the jeans from bleeding onto your other clothing. If you choose, wash the new jeans with older pairs of the same color because this won't hurt them.
Detergent
There are detergents specifically made to stop clothing from bleeding. Purchase one of these detergents to wash your new jeans in. It will help keep your jeans looking new and your other clothes from changing colors. There is nothing worse than opening the washer to realize you just dyed all of your other clothes the same color as your new jeans.
It isn't impossible to keep your new jeans from bleeding. You have to take a few extra steps to lower the chances of that happening. You want to look great when you put the newly washed jeans on. It just makes you feel better. You don't want to get the rest of your clothes to have the same color. Once that happens you will never get the dye out. Take precautions now so that you have the new looking jeans even after you wash them and your other clothing staying at their best. Put on your newly washed jeans and hit the town. You deserve it after all that work.
