At first you were so nice
All smiles and laughter
I was so pleased for my Dad
I hoped he would be happy ever after
Soon you were married
Living the dream
Flowers and sunshine
Together for a lifetime it would seem
But the cracks in your facade started to show
Neighbours would tell of the tantrums you'd throw
The jealousy and nagging
Of sexual conquests you were bragging
In public you were still smiles and laughter
In private you were hell ever after
You excluded us from your life
So much trouble and strife
Then suddenly Dad died
What crocodile tears you cried
Such a scene you did make
In the middle of the wake
As soon as you had the money
You disappeared to climes sunny
A new man you had found
And Dad not even cold in the ground
I hope you never have a lover
You treats you as badly
As you did us kids
My hated step mother
