Do nice guys finish last? Well, as many others have stated it depends on how a 'nice guy' is defined. If he his a pushover or a self centered introvert, then yes. If he is a gentleman, a dignified yet charming and interesting person, then no. I have had to slowly learn better social skills to be more of an extrovert, and I'm happy I have. I have had just one interest in my life, and we broke up not too long after we met. I am glad though I learned to be more of an attentive person, showing consideration for others' feelings. I am now less of an introvert and more a gentleman. I will never be a 'bad boy' and that's a good thing. I do give them their props for confidence, though. the 'bad boys' as they are referred to, display an indifferent attitude towards females, and it thrills them. On the other hand, introverted 'nice guys' are either desperate for any relationship or indifferent due to pessimism, thinking they can never have a girlfriend. This can make them bitter, and no one wants to be with a bitter person. On the other hand, bad boys have more zest for living, though of course it's often taken to the extreme of hedonism. I have learned that while females are intrigued by bad boys, they like gentlemen with pizazz the best. If you have a witty sense of humor, good taste in food, wine and clothes (not necessarily a metrosexual), can dance well, cook and have some other talent, and most importantly confidence, you can be popular with the ladies. You should show just enough interest in a woman to pique her interest in you, but not go overboard with lavish praise. Instead of being predictable all the time, be a little spontaneous. Learn to build your confidence and personality. Show them you know how to have fun sometimes even if you're naturally more reserved. Gentlemen are the confident, outgoing nice guys who stole a few pages from the bad boys' strategy book. Think of all the popular spy movies. The main character, if male, kicks bad guys' butts and yet dresses sharp and enjoys nice restaurants. He is well rounded in his knowledge of various subjects. When he sees the woman he wants, he goes for her, yet always treats her with courtesy. He is decisive and bold. Like I said, a gentleman with pizazz. The bad boys are the ones he pulverizes. He has the best of both worlds. Of course, not all guys are secret agents, but with the right skills an assertive, sociable nice guy can put the bad boy in his place any day of the week.
