Will the SD Card revolutionize the E-Book Industry? One has to say that it is inevitable that they will. When E-Books first hit the market, back in the year 1998, they were limited in-so-far as what they could do. But what they could do, they did well. To begin with, E-Books where initially directed at and used by a small, yet dedicated audience. The subjects that the E-Books covered where, in the main mainly technical in nature, and would not really have been of interest to the general public.. The E-Books were limited in subject scope and matter and at this point one could not download books to the system, and they certainly where not Internet-ready or back lighted either.
One could not write within the books, as that facility was not yet available, During the early days of E-Books, they were also hampered by a single format that they all worked too. As technology progressed E-Books began to become more and more visible in stores up and down the country. People are beginning to see them now, not as some technical piece of kit that are for the ownership of technophobes only, but as a true substitute for soft, and hard bound books.
In these days of high technology, when technology is advancing at a great pace seemingly by the month, E-Books are beginning to break new grounds. They are beginning to break the boundary that they where confined too, back in 1998. Now, E-Books are beginning to appear for sale, with back lighting as standard, with dedicated Internet - including Google etc and also with Anti-Glare. Also, SD cards have begun to appear now which will truly revolutionize the impact that E-Book Readers have thus far made. To be able to save all of your books and work on an SD Card is a Godsend, as E-Books only come with a limited amount of dedicated space inside. Adding to that space is a must, by purchasing an SD Card you will instantly be able to save copious amounts of books and work to the card.
One has to wonder why SD Cards where not introduced earlier as they would have definitely made E-Book Readers more saleable than they previously have been. With the introduction of SD Cards plus the many applications that are being added to E-Book Readers now, such as two screens {bit like the Ninetendo DS but on a much larger scale}. One screen holds the E-Book, and the other screen is actually a Netbook, as in the EnTourage Edge E-Book Reader. Also many E-Book Readers can now display motion captured
