French Fried Onion Chicken Fingers

This is a great dish for serving kids when they arrive home from school. This is also quick and easy to make. Will serve just fine at a party o family get together. This is also a healthy meal because it is oven fried, you have less the fat when oven frying compared to deep frying or pan frying. It is all white meat chicken strips. The recipe I have listed is for honey mustard, but you may choose any sauce you to prepare your chicken such as barbeque, ranch, and sweet and sour. For more spicy chicken you can add lemon and pepper. Make it a complete meal and serve with a baked potato or any vegetable. Also if you have leftovers of the French Fried Onion Chicken Fingers, they may be used in a salad for a delicious, and tasty complete meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cups of French Fried Onions

1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breast strips

4 Tablespoons of honey mustard

Any flavor sauce you like may be substituted for the honey mustard.

Prep time is 10 minutes.

Cook time is 20 minutes

Serves 4-5 people.

To make a larger serving use two pounds of chicken breast strips and 8 tablespoons of sauce an 2 1/3 cups of fried onions. This would serve 8-10 people. These are even perfect to have for a snack. Have extra sauce on the side for dipping. You have less mess beacuse they are oven fried. The french fried onions really bring out the flavor and they are something different and makes these chicken finers unique.

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and place French Fried Onions in a sealed plastic food storage bag and crush the onions fine with a rolling pin.

2. Dip the chicken breast strips in the honey mustard, and coat them well all the way around with the crushed onions. Then place the chicken strips on a baking sheet.

3. Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is browned, crispy and well done in the center.

4. Let chicken cool and place on tray with paper towel to drain excess grease.

5. You are ready to serve your chicken with extra dipping sauce or a side dish of vegetables.

Enjoy! They are a treat to please anyone. Easy and fast to prepare, excellent for kids. You can find french fried onions at most grocery stores in the seasoning area.
