Should you turn in a friend for drug use and child abuse?

As an adult who was abused as a Child, I say turn in your friend! I prayed for someone to save me. I couldnt save myself. I suffer from self esteem issues and many other issues. My entire personality was snuffed and my childhood taken away from me. If you know for a fact that a freind of yours is abusing their child, it is your duty to turn them in. If you dont, you helped that child be abused. You might as well have done the abusing yourself. Lets not beat around the bush here or sugar coat things. Lets not be politically correct to our dear freind and let them do what they will in the privacy of their home. Just because someone has a child does not mean they know how to parent or should be a parent. Not every abused child is as fortunate as me and is able to become an adult. How would you feel if the child in question ended up dying at the hands of your friend?
