The entrepreneurial road does not always lead to riches. For many the journey alone is the prize you will take away with you. The entrepreneurial spirit is comprised of several main characteristics in.people. The ability to to find unique solutions to problems, control, desire for recognition, and the need for independence. These characteristics are present in any number of combinations and to a great  degree determine the level of achievement experienced by the entrepreneur. These characteristics also play themselves out in the great game of life. They change, shape, and drive the way we do things providing great lessons along the way.

For many, striking out on your own is driven by the need for independence. Not having to get up at the same time day after day, listening to your boss dictate how everything should be done.
