All day long
He circles the parking lots
Picking up anything he can find
Anything sellable
His headphones are connected
Only to the air
But he sings along anyway
He stuck his tongue out at me one day
I glared at him and thought
I'll let him have this one

“Hey kids, get off my lawn.”
The little old man said
“Kids, they have no respect,
The lonely man
he sits and wonders
where all his friends went.
He sits at the table
ledger in hand
and sees all the money
Three square and a call,
Then where were you?
Lonesome and all;
All by alone, I mean all alone.
