North Carolina is a great place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in 2010. From the mountains to the beach and all great places in between, NC has much to offer in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, festivals, parades, food experiences, music, live entertainment and more.

Charlotte, NC

Charlotte, NC celebrates in uptown Charlotte with their 14th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival. Beginning on Saturday, March 13, 2010, the parade starts at 11:00 AM at Tryon Rd and 9th Street. The parade marches south to Tryon and 3rd Street. The Charlotte festival starts at 10:00 AM and ends around 6:30 PM. Join the celebration at S. Tryon between First and Third Streets. There will be Irish music, dancing, bagpipes, food, beverages and more. This excellent public event is free, organized and operated by the Charlotte St. Patrick‘s Day Parade Foundation and is produced by Dyer Hart Productions.

Hendersonville, NC

Hendersonville, NC celebrates the March of the Leprechauns in downtown Hendersonville. This St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, Festival and Parade starts on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM and ends around 9:00 PM. For additional information, call 828-697-2022 or visit the website.

Nags Head, NC

Nags Head, NC celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with real Irish enthusiasm. For a great getaway, I recommend this lively festival. The events start on March 11, 2010 with the OBX Taste of the Beach and end on March 14, 2010 with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The 2010 Irish Festival in Nags Head will be the 21st Annual Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration. The festival kicks off on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 9:00 AM with the 2nd Annual Kelly’s Running of the Leprechauns 8K.

The parade, themed “Blue Green Outer Banks, Tomorrow Matters” starts on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM rain or shine. For parade location and details, visit Kelly's.

Extend your St. Patrick’s Day festival and celebration at the Outer Banks in Nags Head, NC by arriving early. The OBX Taste of the Beach happens March 11-14, 2010. Check out this website for all the details.

During the Taste of the Beach, Kelly’s offers A Taste of Ireland on March 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Though the festival is free, you will need tickets for the Taste of Ireland at Kelly’s. Purchase here. Kelly’s is located at 2316
