The old saying is that the best gifts come from the heart, and this could not be more true than on Valentine's Day. For many women this is one of the most important days of the year, when all the love held deep inside is displayed and men are almost required to present not just a gift, but an acceptable gift.

This is the one day of the year women enjoy being told they are special, and with any gift you choose, you should make sure it is something to show her how important she is.

As you are preparing for the big day to arrive, think of how much you appreciate the woman in your life.Think of the things that make her happy, and the joy that she brings to you. Since this is her day to be made feel special, do just that.

Think of the things she has mentioned in conversation before. Perhaps she suggested a hot air balloon ride or  how she would love to see the new play. Win her heart over by planning this event for the two of you. 

Arrange a private dinner for you both at her favorite restaurant. Ne sure to include candles, and be sure to have the chef prepare her favorite meal. Perhaps a band could play a love song in the background as the two of you reminisce on the special memories.

It is true that diamonds are a girl's best friend. Opting for a nice braclet or necklace will put a smile on her face, and there are many places you can purchase quality jewelry at affordable prices.

If she is working on that day, be sure to send flowers to her that day. Perhaps a breakfast in bed would make her day a bit brighter. And once she has arrives home, a hot rose petal layered bubble bath with soft music, and scented candles.

 Head to the toy store and find the cutest, softest bear with a special Valentine's message shirt. Women love cuddly friends, and a bear will melt her heart.

Sexy lingerie is a great gift that both of you will enjoy. Take her on a Victoria's Secret shopping spree, or pick up something naughty or nice. Just be sure you know the right size; else your great night can quickly turn sour. Thrown in a bottle of her favorite designer perfume.

Along with your special gift, be sure to include a card. This is almost as important as the gift itself.
