How to make money with ClickBank

Clickbank?  If you haven't heard of it before, this is a great place to start to get to know it and find out how it can provide you with a good source of online income.

What is Clickbank?
Clickbank is an online marketplace that boasts of tens of thousands of digital products. Do not confuse it with Ebay or Amazon. Clickbank does not deal in physical products. By digital products, we're talking about products that can be transferred over the Internet.

There are two ways you can make money from Clickbank. One, as a seller of digital products. So, if you have a "How to" ebook, for example, you can list it on Clickbank and have other people sell it for you. In the past ten years, Clickbank's clients have earned over $1.45 billion.

You can take advantage of Clickbank's wide network of affiliates to promote your product for you. It's like having your very own sales force, only you don't have to pay them a salary. You only pay them when a product is sold.

Don't be disappointed If you don't have a product to sell. You can still earn a substantial income from Clickbank by being an affiliate and selling someone else's product. With products paying commissions up to 75%, it is an attractive incentive for affiliates to promote them.

1. Register with Clickbank
All you have to do to become an affiliate is to sign up with Clickbank. It's free to join. You will need to fill up a simple form and you're ready to go. You will need to come up with a nickname though. This will be your Clickbank ID, which you will use in your promotions.

You see, all sellers on Clickbank have websites and when you choose to promote their product, you will be given a unique link (URL) that will direct potential buyers to the sellers' websites when clicked. The link is made unique with the addition of your Clickbank ID.

2. Select products to promote
Now that you've registered an account with Clickbank, it's time to find products to sell. Don't make the mistake many make and assume that every product on Clickbank is good. Remember that Clickbank doesn't produce their own product. There will always be products that are duds, and you have to be aware of this.

It is helpful that Clickbank provides statistics for all products sold in their marketplace and they are useful indicators of a product's popularity, profitability and potential.

Gravity
The gravity score tells you how popular a product is among affiliates. The higher it is, the more  established and popular it is.
