Dear Dad:
Through the years, you were always there,
providing sustenance and positive rapport,
encouraging always to reach for the moon,
living my life as main stage with an encore.
Pageants & piano, you bursting with pride,
school plays, happy days, right by your side.
Though at sometimes you were so irritable,
unbearable to our incredibly internal core,
we always forgave, for the way you behave,
during my childhood and yours as so before.
My only true regret to this most solemn day,
is that I could not be as perfect in every way,
and be able to tell you my own true feeling,
about you, dear dad, my grief now so reeling.

Poetry: Dear dad
by Gary Maclean
Dear Dad, over 40 years have passed
Since that fateful day in our front yard
The time you slumped over the car door
Breathed
Dear Dad, I miss you.
You were not perfect, but you loved me.
You worried too much, You had it rough.
You had blessings
Poetry does not come easy for me
And after you read this you might just agree.
The words in the card were thoughtful and true
Dear Dad,
Is it alright if I call you that?
We have never met
You don't know me,
You never took the time too!
It's
My Dear Father:
GOD is making you more energetic
Because of your faithfulness
GOD is elevating you to higher places
