Teachers, having a noble and prophetic job, are indeed great role models for their students, who always seek proper guidance to shape their future. The students love to learn a lot. They like to be properly guided and understood well. They also know their limitations. Therefore, they are easily attracted to the teachers who take keen and genuine interest in their welfare and betterment.
Students have high regards for the teachers who are sincere, cooperative and helpful to them in their studies and in shaping their practical life successfully. It has been observed that students develop a good rapport with kind, caring and committed teachers. A good personality, kind and caring nature, honesty, devotion and sincerity of teachers enable them to endear among the students, who love nothing but their own interest. They love to be loved and cared. Once they find an understanding teacher, they make him their ideal and have blind faith in him. The following are some of the major qualities of a teacher our students are likely to be attracted to:
1. He must take genuine interest in the welfare of his students.
2. He is supposed to understand their feelings, giving them enough opportunity to learn more and more even from their foibles and mistakes.
3. He should be devoted, committed, dedicated and honest with his profession and should help students to acquire knowledge more and more, helping him chalk out his future course of action to attain resounding success in times ahead.
4. They must not punish the students. Instead, they must make them understand with love and affection, making them realise their mistakes and asking them not to repeat them to bring improvement in their lives.
5. A good teacher is not merely a teacher in a classroom. He is like a patron and spiritual parent, who is always willing to help his students.
The teachers possessing all these above-mentioned qualities are sure to win the love, repect, admiration and obedience to their students. To such teachers, our students are attracted because of these magnetic qualities. Such teachers are indeed a great asset for the nations. They are perfect examples or role models for their students.
It goes without saying that both teachers and students play a very important role in the progress of their country. A good rapport between them augurs well and will always yield positive results in days to come,
