Glistening like a fairy's wand
Some short; some long
Icy to the finger tips
Cold to the child's curious lips
A winter treat to be sure
Nature's fresh ice so pure
An icicle! That's what it is!
Here, bundled up friend
Have some of this
Before you run off to go play inside
Before you hop on your bikes and ride
Enjoy a taste of nature's treat
See it glisten, oh so sweet
This only happens one time of the year
So enjoy, my friends, while it's here
