Poetry: Icicles

by Ashley Sickler

Created on: January 19, 2010

Glistening like a fairy's wand

Some short; some long

Icy to the finger tips

Cold to the child's curious lips

A winter treat to be sure

Nature's fresh ice so pure

An icicle! That's what it is!

Here, bundled up friend

Have some of this

Before you run off to go play inside

Before you hop on your bikes and ride

Enjoy a taste of nature's treat

See it glisten, oh so sweet

This only happens one time of the year

So enjoy, my friends, while it's here
