Living in clutter can cause a sense of desperation and can become overwhelming. In order to live in a clutter free bedroom you must take the situation as one event instead of hundreds of tiny little events. You can't start by cleaning out one closet or one drawer. If you are faced with a cluttered bedroom and you are ready to change it then here is your list of instructions.

Designate three piles. One pile should be GoodWill. The next pile is trash. The final pile is labeled keep. Now, without stopping go into your bedroom and start putting stuff into its assigned pile. Don't waste time going through things just pick it up and pile it. Normally this is a motivational step that lets you sees change quickly and inspires you to keep on going. By taking time to look at stuff such as photos or old paperwork will cost to much time and slow the process of change.

After the piles have been made you need to take away all o the things that are labeled to go. Get the things out of your house that you no longer need, wear or want. Make your run to GoodWill and bag up the trash. Before you start up the car go into your empty space and make a short list of a few things to help you organize and decorate your new bedroom. You can fill this list while you are out running your errands. This is the best part of the entire process.

Now it is time to go shopping and put it all back together again. You have gotten your new items and the trash is gone. Before you start the last leg of your project you will need to do the nitty-gritty cleaning. Wash the walls and baseboards. Dust and polish all the furniture. Wash all of your bed linens and curtains. The general rule while putting your bedroom back together and keeping it clean is to need something before it enters your room. Don't store things that you do not need in your bedroom, you have an attic for that.

A bedroom is a very personal space for anyone. It should reflect you and the things you enjoy. To many things cause clutter so keep it tight and well thought out. Also keep in mind that if you haven't used something for the past six months means that you do not need it in your bedroom. Items that fall in the category should be kept in other spaces in your home or let go of completely.
