I'll Smile And Open My Arms For You, Son
Much more than I did when you were a boy
Come over when you feel your work is done
Don't do much now, for life has little joy
For me, but please don't think this is some ploy
I'll smile and open my arms for you, son
Back in those days I would always deploy
The Army's always ready to destroy
Come over when you feel your work is done
Disabled Vets aren't easy to employ
So I sit in my chair reading Tolstoy
I'll smile and open my arms for you, son
I bought us a new electronic toy
We get to bomb the Towers of Hanoi
Come over when you feel your work is done
I believe if you'd stop by you'd enjoy
Your stay, so I beg of you, don't be coy
I'll smile and open my arms for you, son
Come over when you feel your work is done
