I find it humorous whenever I hear a person say that employers should be forced to pay for every ridiculous thing their heart desires. More guaranteed vacation? How about a guaranteed reality check stapled to your pink slip as you look for another job. What a bunch of spoiled brats this nation has become. We are rich beyond comparison to the rest of the world. Even the poor people in our country are well-off in comparison to many parts of the globe. And yet we complain because we're expected to work for the things that we have. No wonder all the good jobs are moving elsewhere. Employers are being stretched to the limit with new taxes and regulations every day while the employees that actually want to work are hanging on by a thread. Who do we expect to step in and enforce these guaranteed vacations? The government. The nanny state, taking care of you from cradle to grave. What a load. The ultimate example of overpaid and under worked. Has there ever been a more determined effort to wreck every single shred of greatness that the U.S. has ever had? They try and step in to make it look like they are helping you out, when all the idiots are really doing is burying you and the rest of the country.

Take a look at the proposed guarantees from a practical standpoint. Vacations are offered to employees as part of their whole benefits package. It is figured in to how much the company thinks that they can pay for the position that is being filled by said employee. This employee is expected to produce a certain amount of revenue to cover the amount paid out by the employer. Add to this extra vacation that is mandated and you've thrown off the equation. Something has to give. What gives is usually someone's salary being slashed or a job being totally cut out. I mean, I know it's hard to believe but employers hire a person to make money from them. They don't hire you for your benefit, or from a thought of giving back; no, they hire you to make money. That is the kind of business that moves America forward. Instead, our so-called leaders are more interested in pushing their populist agendas to buy votes and less worried about the future of America. Instead of taking more vacations, how about getting off the couch and back to work.
