Songs: Harvest moon

by Cameron Foster

Created on: January 18, 2010

(verse 1)

Mist lazily mixing with the evening sky

Bright orb rising in the east

Crops have been gathered

It’s been a good year

A moment for thanks, and time for a feast

(chorus)

Harvest Moon

You make me smile

You give me chills

Bring tears to my eye

Cause it’s been a tough

Year

But now that you’re here

I can breathe easy at least for a spell

Your moonbeams caress me

Just like a dear friend

Silent but knowing me so well

(verse 2)

Children laughing in the barnyard

Adults relieved over a few drinks

The season has ended

Head to market tomorrow

But for now a chance to pause and release

(chorus)

Harvest Moon

You make me smile

You give me chills

Bring tears to my eye

Cause it’s been a tough

Year

But now that you’re here

I can breathe easy at least for a spell

Your moonbeams caress me

Just like a dear friend

Silent but knowing me so well…
