Editing, displaying and distributing photographs and videos has never been easier, or less expensive, thanks to the website Photobucket.com. Offering enough free storage to store approximately 5,000 photos, or unlimited storage for the low price of $24.95, Photobucket.com has been recognized as one of the premiere online photo storage sites for many years, but online storage is only the beginning of the services photobucket.com offers. New features of the site include photo editing, slide show presenation software and video editing and presention software.
A few points and click make it possible for even the most technology phobic people to move their photographs from their computers to the web, but IPhone users no longer have to pass their digital images through their home computer to upload them. An application availabe through the Apple Store allows Iphone owners to load images to the site directly from their phone.
Onsite software offers users many of the same editing options that expensive photo-editor programs provide. Without spending hundreds on editing software, or using up your computer’s hard drive space Photobucket.com clients can fix red eye, crop an image, resize it, rotate it, flip it, animate it, and add special effects such as distortion or layering.
The benefits don't end there though. Once images are loaded and edited, Photobucket.com users can tag them and then create themed albums to organize and display them. If you enjoy creative scrapbooking, you may be happy to know that Scrapblog.com has teamed up with Photobucket.com to allow Photobucket, com users to create online scrapbooks.
Sharing video presenations has never been easier. Simply create an album on Photobucket.com, follow their simple point, click and edit guidelines to create a professional looking slideshow, then send the direct link URL to the people you want to share the show with.
Perhaps the biggest advantage of using Photobucket.com is the ease it provides in relation to sharing or linking to uploaded media. Photobucket.com allows users to share individual images, entire albums or slide shows with a few clicks of the mouse. Under the sharing option you will find the easy to understand tabs; post to website, send email, get link code, or send to phone. If you select website you will be offered a variety of the more popular social networking sites such as MySpace or Facebook, to choose from. One click will send the image to your account with that site, ending the need to figure out if the site required an embed code or an image code. If the website you wanted to use isn’t listed the code for a direct link to the image is listed for you to copy and paste into the other site. Emailing an image is as easy as entering the address you want to send it to. A link is mailed to the person you want to share the image with and you no longer have to worry about the image being rejected by the receiving server. If you are trying to share a slide show, layout, or video simply click the link code tab for the code you need. For customers of AT&T, Cellular One, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, Photobucket offers the ability to send images directly to the phone for a low cost of $1.99 which is billed to the phone. To use the feature select sharing, send to phone and then enter your cell phone number and agree to the terms of use.
