Poetry: Death loves us all

by Kris Koments

Created on: January 18, 2010

Darkness smothers the lighted skies
whilst daylight evaporates.
One new life begins this eve-
as another dissipates.

The bitter taste of living,
is the blessed part of death.
The trouble in life lay resting-
in a new-born baby's breath.

And so it goes, we count it down,
life's end is much awaited.
We close our eyes to see the lamb,
death's peace  anticipated.
