Are women more attractive without makeup on? I would have to say no this, although there are a very lucky few that are blessed with natural beauty and flawless skin that look a lot better without camouflaging themselves with cosmetics.
The main issue with makeup is not whether or not to wear makeup, but rather how much to wear. for instance, there are some women that plaster on so much foundation that their skin ends up looking two inches thicker, and they look like a mannequin, especially when accompanied with overly black pencilled eyebrows, garishly bright lipstick, thick black layers of mascara that looks like spider's legs glued to their eyes, and enough eyeliner to rival the face of a panda!
The best way to use makeup in my opinion is just to cover any problem areas, for instance dark circles, dry problem skin and blemishes and to enhance natural beauty by highlighting a person's best features and improving skin tone.
I am in complete agreement with the 'less is more' statement, as let's face it, most of need a little help in certain areas of our facial features, but there's no need to go overboard! Also there's nothing wrong with having a natural look (barely there makeup) during the day and adding a bit more glamour and colour for going out at night.
Personally, I use just enough makeup so as not to scare any members of public I may come across, especially young children, as first thing in the morning I look very much like a character from 'the night of the living dead'.
Also another reason that it's good to wear makeup is to gain confidence with ourselves. If for any reason, I've left the house in the morning and not had time to apply makeup, and for example, have an important meeting, I will be talking to that person absolutely paranoid with the way I look, thus being unable to concentrate on what I'm supposed to be saying. I know a lot of people will be reading this will probably thinking that this sounds extremely shallow and silly and that looks are not as important as what is on the inside, but surely a person's confidence is one of the most important things in any situation and if confidence is brought to someone just by wearing makeup to make them feel better in themselves, then makeup must be beneficial.
