He paces the long hall,
Leans against the wall,
Knocks softly on the door,
Resumes pacing the floor,
She flits around,
Emits a tiny sound,
Tugs and straightens
Adjusts the hem,
A handkerchief dabs at the eyes,
Almost unnoticed, tiny sighs,
Memories are quickly explored,
Of times shared and adored,
Another knock sounds,
Impatience abounds,
Slowly, the knob is turned,
For this moment, they have yearned,
In the hall, he can’t pace anymore,
It’s time to be behind this door,
An eye peaks out,
He wants to shout!
A hand invites him inside,
Into the chamber of The Bride,
