It's been a long time since i wrote a poem
For the storm of life struck at my door,
And broke away the windows of my heart,
And stole away the light of my joy
And left me scouting for my pen and scripts.

It's been a long time, since I've been lost,
lost to the gloomy puzzle of life,
Searching day and night an answer to it,
fighting with all my might to arise again.

But one day i took a paper and a pen,
And settled myself to scribble on it,
uneasily and uncomfortably i did my best,
but never thought it was good enough.

Reluctantly and unwillingly i publish it at helium,
And in just two days it was at the top five,
Then the light came and i was strong again,
And memories of the things I've lost,
brought back the lush to my heart,
Then suddenly i realised that it's been a long time
since i've been so happy in my life.
