It makes me happy to see you smile.
I haven’t seen you do that in quite awhile.
I am beginning to see that sparkle back in your eyes.
You would laugh and smile; a good show but nothing but lies.
You lost you faith in everyone around you.
Belief in your self was also lost too.
You have always been the one I could count on.
I believed you were invincible but, you turned to stone.
I had to watch the light in you eyes disappear.
Nothing I did or could do would make it reappear.
Never before have you made me feel so helpless.
You made me feel like my hands were tied and totally hopeless.
Why did you give up without a fight?
The man I fell in love with was no where in sight.
Even though inside you were lost,
I promised that I would save you no matter what the cost.
Yes, at fist I blamed you.
But, what you didn’t know is the blame I put on myself that you never knew.
I hurt so badly because I couldn’t take away your pain.
Not knowing what to do made me go insane.
Time kept ticking away.
Still no smiles nothing left to say.
No one thought you and I would still be standing strong.
This bond we share proves ‘them’ all wrong.
Now, a New Year has begun.
A new rising of a new sun.
Finally I see you smiling again.
My heart smiles for great things that are starting to begin.
I can’t wait for this year ahead!
It will be more amazing then any words that were ever said!
