Another year has come to pass.
Finally, no longer peering through the looking glass.
Time to release the pain of the past.
Time to break free from the body cast.
A year of trouble, pain, and strife.
Has been replaced with hope of a new life.
There were countless times I wanted to just run away.
Things were bad but I would never go astray.
Now, a new year has begun.
I see a new light of the rising sun.
I am beginning seeing great changes already.
Determination that is standing strong and steady.
Something is different inside me.
I am beginning to believe in things I could not see.
Everyone makes a New Years resolution.
It never occurred to me I held the solution.
I dedicated this New Year the ones I love.
All the while never forgetting the ones I love above.
This is a year for a major change.
A perfect chance to our old life and rearrange.
This we must understand is a time for believing.
And letting go of all that is deceiving.

The old man lay dying
on a frozen patch
of sidewalk.
Nary a soul gave him
a comforting glance
nor a helping hand.

A new year
We mood up
Like a new puppy
For a few weeks

Our trees grow
New leaves

The first day a new day
The old year forever gone
Memories for some
File the good destroy the bad
