The value of confidence

I have difficulty accepting what I am and who I am. My personal ego is hurting me, I feel degraded. I’m constantly at odds with myself saying "I should have done better, what happens to me, I should have been something different."

The basic question that bothers me is, if I do not have faith in myself, how can I ever have faith in others? And, If I can’t have faith in others, how can I respect and love them? Even so, If I do not respect and love others, how can they respect and love me!

Is it that, I’m such an alien in this world?  In other words, is it that this world is alien to me?

I do not understand how long I will remain alien. It may be I being stacked by other alien creatures at some point of my life. Sometimes I wish I’m totally invisible. Whatever may be the reason, I’ll have to wait and watch what happens.

They say that loving and valuing ourselves is essential. It's our prerogative and only we can truly define ourselves despite what others say about us. I think a few years ago, I was just drifting around without a clear goal. If we don't believe in ourselves as someone worthy of love, respect and happiness, then who else will? We are not a product of what has happened to us in our past. We have the power of choice to change for better.

The good thing is I recognized my own problem. Dealing with it is the next step. It is easier said than done.

I have seen many little children exude so much confidence.  They are reminded of who they are, how special and how much they mean to the people around them. I didn't have this as a child and struggled immensely with self-worth.  I remained my own critic, but I also know that confidence is something that blossoms when nurtured with kindness and encouragement from others.

So, I decided to take the major step. I remember hearing a confidence building start up and then I got hooked. I wanted to get the right foundation. I heard about the confidence building course widely accepted by my few friends. It had a cool mix of hands-on and practical guidance.

I thought about this learning process and I realized that it would give me fantastic results. I read some informative guidelines in the prospectus.
