The main even during the summer is the Comic Convention better known as Comic Con. It has been part of San Diego since the 70s and it has grown form a few comic vendors and conferences to a television, movie, books, graphic novel, comic event. Divided into four days that include star wars day and kids’ day, it has a little bit of something for everyone in your family.

Sea World is a great attraction that San Diego has in its backyard, with a price of 59 to 69 dollars for the fun card, you can come back all year without paying admission again or you can purchase the Silver Annual pass that will give you benefits on blackout dates, parking and special events.

One of the best zoos in the world in right here in San Diego, The San Diego Zoo offers sleepovers, backstage tour and educational programs in addition to your regular visit to the park, you can also take a look at the new baby panda Yun Zi. Visiting the San Diego Zoo is a great opportunity for everyone who loves animals and wishes to learn more about them and the conservations efforts to save the endangered species.

If walking all day at parks and events it’s not your cup of tea and you wish to just take in the sun, then the beaches of San Diego will do the trick. If you like more upscale shopping and dinning, then La Jolla is the perfect place for you, with museums, shopping , dinning and the great beach in front of you, this will be you all stop shop.

For the surfer in you Encinitas is the place, a relax atmosphere, lots of small shops and lots of surfers in the area, this will feel like you are right at home.

Mission Beach has the classic Belmont Park with the Giant Dipper built in 1925 all kinds of rides and the carousel; this is fun for the whole family.

If you really want the feel of home away from home, but you are from a big city, staying downtown is the place, it could be describe like a really small Soho, you have a great shopping center Horton Plaza, grocery stores, and small eclectic shops next to more high end stores, bookstores and coffees, this is the perfect area for you, just make sure you check for events like comic con if you don’t want to share the city with thousand of people.
