Poetry: Jealousy

by Barry Williams

Created on: January 14, 2010

Jealousy all consuming

Frothing foaming fuming

One of the seven sins

Oft allied to lust when it begins

Jealousy  is it about possession

Like a person eaten away by some obsession

Or can it be taken as a  compliment

Or obligation to show intent

The grass looks greener on the other side

The green eyed monster is sometimes hard to hide

Jealously is defeated  along with lust

If between two people there is love and trust
