Love me,
Like you love her.
Hold me,
Like you used to hold me.
You no longer love me,
The way you once did,
Your eyes filled with happiness,
When you saw me,
Your voice,
Told me you loved me,
Like no other.
I wish I was her,
To have your love,
To have you look at me,
That way again,
Telling of happiness,
That never ends.
Gentle kisses,
Warm loving hugs,
You did all that I loved,
And nothing I feared,
Almost every time,
I look at you,
My eyes fill with tears.
You treated me with kindness,
And I took you for granted,
You said "It's not you,
Something didn't feel right."
My heart was crushed,
My soul ripped out,
My emotions buried,
My mind array.
I wanted to run away.
I wish I was her,
To have you look,
The way I look at you,
To love me,
As much as I loved you.
But I know that it won't happen,
My life has been misshapen,
My heart still aches for you,
When I see you,
When I talk to you,
A smile still appears on my face,
But then I relize,
I looking at a lost cause,
You aren't mine,
And you won't ever be mine again.
But I think you should know,
That I'll always be yours,
You took my heart,
And never gave it back.
You can keep it,
I don't want it,
You give it back,
And I'll have an attack.
I love you,
And I always have,
I wish I was her,
To have your love,
To see you smile,
When i walk into the room,
To hear your excitement,
When we talk on the phone.

Poetry: Shattered
by Lou Ruggieri
I see shards of what I could have been
Strewn across the bedroom floor
Each moment perfectly framed in
Brilliant
The crystal vase lies shattered,
shattered shards across the floor.
I screamed to you to save it,
smashed as you slammed
He treated her like his prize ornament
And placed her on a shelf
Although she was his loving wife
She was never allowed to

Have you ever called to death?
A silent wail within your soul
A comparison to life's unfairness
A curse not felt by all
I was
by Shari Mead
Shattered on the ground
A little girls treasured doll
Smashed beyond repair, just left laying there
Her tears are real as she
