Small Business is an easy to set up option for those who are interested in setting up a monetized blog.  Yahoo! provides the hosting (not free), all of the tools you need and an easy to understand format.  For those who have fallen victim to WordPress rules for using ads or affiliate links on a blog, Yahoo! Small Business could be the answer you were looking for.

Yahoo! Small Business offers full support, analytic tools and an easy to understand format. If you are blogging regularly, it also offers an easy dashboard that includes plenty of storage space for images and attachments.  If you are uncomfortable designing your own website, you can elect to use the easy to install templates that are offered by Yahoo! You will need to decide on a name for your site so that you can "reserve" the URL that you are interested in.  You can make payment for the services through your PayPal account and you can elect to pay monthly, quarterly or annually for the service.  While it may be more expensive than some other hosting services, since it is a "one location" solution, you may find it is the most practical one for you.

Follow all of the steps that are offered through Yahoo! Small Business to complete the setup of your site. If you are interested in writing and making money from your writing experiment with the various WordPress blog options.  Find a template from the thousands that are offered through Yahoo! Small Business until you find one that best suits your needs.

Finally, input your AdSense information, apply for your VeriSign credentials and add in your Plugins.  You can include your Helium credentials, you can add RSS feeds and several other options.  Once you have your blog (or website) set up on Yahoo!
