The future male,
The lifespan of man as we know him is but a speck in the vastness of time. And “ modern Man” is still very much connected to his 42, 000 year old counterpart.
Throughout our history, the male of the human species, has for the most part carried himself with an aggressive “ me first “ survival of the fittest type of mentality, often using intimidation, and brute force as his main tools, in order carry out his will. Like many other life forms on this planet, the Human male is a pack animal, and every pack has an Alpha. This supreme male maintained his position by being the most brutal, and ruthless of the group, often taking from the weak without mercy. These seemingly distasteful characteristics were absolutely needed to perpetuate our species in a hostile primitive past, so that the strong would insure the survival of our race. This is the law of survival…adapt, persevere, and overcome, or disappear!
But as we have tamed this world, and made it our own, the cruel behavior of the Human male has become a hindrance to true progress. In our present world, most men have failed to out grow the stigmata of the cave, as he still carries with him, a savage “ I will have my way no matter the cost “ mindset.
So what drives the modern male? Well, pretty much the same things that motivated his distant ancestors.
Today’s males are still overflowing with testosterone, and most thoughts are about competing in society for the Alpha role. The modern male is a fragile creature, who often hides his insecurity under layers of Ego, and arrogance, making him self-centered, and power-hungry. This has led to world conflict, after conflict, with devastating results. Mother earth can easily provide more than enough resources for all people, but still the powers that be (mostly male) scheme, horde, and control, all to secure his supremacy.
But the modern male is far from lost in this world, like his female other half; Human males do have a softer more caring, loving side, and it is this aspect of masculinity that will be his salvation. Man will fight to the death to protect that which he loves, so it is this love that is in desperate need of nurturing.
Unfortunately, today’s men view their warm, and fuzzy side as weakness, and
