How to recover mentally from a horse riding accident

Recovering from a horse accident doesn't happen overnight no matter what some horse people say. People are all different in how certain accidents affect them. I was taken off by a tree limb and waited for my horse to come back once he realized I fell off but I have heard a few stories of one lady was thrown off a horse then kicked in the face, my friend was kicked by my horse in his training phase, another was my step nephew who also was kicked in the face. I have seen some people take some nasty falls into fences like my friend but some trainers make us het back on when really our body is saying no but have no time to react. I had fallen off Sage my horse 3 times while training and I was green I never galloped a horse and he used to bolt. My legs would shake like a leaf.

The way I learned to deal with the mental was through my horse I trusted my training of him I also knew I didn't need any one to bully me into getting on. You need time to recover, if it was your horse figure out what went wrong. Were you in an argument with someone and decided to let some stress out. My last time of me coming off Sage I had just ran out of the house not wanting to listen to my father in his tirade since I was 23 at the time. I decided to go back to the barn. I knew something may happen but I wanted to get my mind off of what happened but Sage couldn't and my usually calm horse and I had an argument of where we were going to run to. My hand being recently injured gave out and Sage went for his run like we would have just not down this certain path he took. I clenched as close as I could to hope not to get taken by a branch but I didn't succeed. I laid flat on my back and looked up to see Sage doing our what I call hops but as soon as he saw me on the ground he took off for me and stood over me until I got up.

I am going to tell of my experience with having a few riding accidents not as bad as I know some have had but still got my body and mind into not wanting to do what I love. I thank my horse for the patience of me being as cautious as I still am although I know he won't hurt me I just have dealt with horses from another perspective and to now work with them in a different light as I wanted to it has taken me out of what I was comfortable with as well as me being put on really naughty horses.

I believe the best thing to do is to take things slow. Even if you want to get back on I ask that you don't listen trainers tell you to get back on at soon as possible or the
