Poetry: I'm tired

by Haley Gray

Created on: January 12, 2010   Last Updated: January 20, 2010

Wake

and make

the bed

and clothe

and feed

and eat

and (try)

to pay the bills

and scrub

and fix

and yell

and run in circles, stooping,

grabbing stuff

and feed again

and turn the music up

and answer phone

and try to chat.

Then bathe them

cook

and feed again.

Play a game,

read a book,

brush their teeth

tuck them in (at last).

And sit

and rest

and wonder why

I'm sad to have another day gone by.
