Until Tiger Woods made the headlines with his sex scandal, I hardly knew a thing about him. I'm not into golf, nor do I ever watch a game on TV. I never thought much about him whenever I would hear of his notable wins, but I was a bit intrigued about his overall quiet personality. Little did I know that he would turn out to be one heck of a playboy.
He doesn't need help for his sex addiction, if you can call it that,or should not be a main concern. Almost all men are highly into sex, as well as many women for that matter. It's a choice we all make to either stick with one person, or pick and choose who the next partner may be. Some people are addicted to self-gratification, while others prefer the real thing.
The only reason why this is such a headline news issue is because up till now, no one ever suspected his behaviour because he seemed like the perfect example of what a famous athlete, and a married man is all about.
A lack of integrity more of a problem than his sex addiction. How can such a brilliant athlete be so naive when it comes to thinking he can hide from the truth should it come out.
Sex can be as addicting as any drug. The more you have, the more you want. So I guess you can say that it "is" in fact an addiction of sorts, but the only side effects is the urge to have some more, but not in a way that your body is going to fall apart if you don't get it as you would experience with drug addiction.
If Tiger needs help, it has to be for his mind being out in left field when it comes to any sense that could be made of his cheating on such a beautiful wife. This also applies for what it would mean having two beautiful children having to suddenly realize that their loving father isn't going to be with them everyday as he normally would be.
This is tragic for all concerned. I feel help for him is needed so that he can understand the importance of loyalty to his family rather than playing almost as many women as he does the amount of holes he plays on the golf field.
When a child only receives one toy for Christmas, he will play with it until it wears out. But give the child a bunch of toys, and watch how soon he or she gets bored after going through the entire bunch. They will always want more than what they get if it's more than one.
My wife always said there was something about him she didn't trust or like, and I would always say she is imagining the wrong things. However, I now have to admit to her she was absolutely right, for she saw through that perfect image that he always tried to portray.
